Job Title: EV & Renewables Business Development Manager 

Reports to: UK EV and Renewables Sales Manager 

Role Profile: To grow the area with additional profitable business by achieving sales of the company’s range of E-mobility, Renewables and Electrical products by focusing on Key Contractors, Installers, CPO’s, Developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities.

Job Description

  • Increase turnover in line with the company forecast within your designated sales area.

  • Present a clear proposal/Business plan outlining your strategy around sales and new business opportunities in your area, and how you plan to grow and attract new customers.

  • Manage customers stock holding ensuring they are carrying optimum levels.

  • Maintain contact with line manager providing regular market reports and sales forecasts, and contact with all other office staff as required.

  • Identify opportunities to provide support to key customers around training their staff on our E- mobility and distribution products.

  • With the support of marketing introduce specific marketing activity to drive brand and product awareness in individual and cluster groups.

  • Provide timely quotes and follow up with a view to winning key contracts.

  • Provide weekly feedback on competitor pricing and current pricing offers in your local market

  • Monitor and update of all projects and routinely add notes, updates and contact information following branch visits on the CRM-Prospect system.

  • Routinely drive monthly promotional offers with customers

  • Understand the market sector and be competent in comparing our product range with the competition.

  • Work with the marketing team to create solutions that help drive the business forward within the companies marketing objectives.

  • Relevant Industry, market and competitor knowledge or willingness to learn.

  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.

  • Confident in approaching new contacts and cold calling.

  • Resilient and determined to succeed in a challenging, competitive environment

  • Computer literate and conversant in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Previous experience in using Salesforce and Glenigans would be advantageous.

  • Motivated to develop a clear understanding of our product ranges to the level that you can influence customers to choose our products over competitors.

  • Full understanding of our USPs and articulate in how you present them to customers.

  • Become a Brand ambassador, be aware of our heritage and present a positive picture of Garo at all times.
